Wilco Prins takes over at Rip Curl Europe

It does not come as a shock that Rip Curl Europe has named Wilco Prins as its new CEO. The new boss will take over Olivier Cantet on 15 April. He is currently head of the Core Division, covering the core sales strategy and the product development for Wetsuits, Bags, Surfboards, Watches and Eyewear.

The Core division also looks after the brand’s surf shops in Europe as well as the marketing related to any sporting events. Wilco Prins, aged 36, has been with the company for 13 years, 4 of which he has spent at the head of the Core division. To support Prins in his new position, Yann Tschumi has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. He began at the company in 2011 to head up sales after spending four years working for Vans and Reef and France and Spain. Matthieu Lefin will take the new position of Vice President of Finance and Operations.
