Whitney Port launches capsule collection with Rent the Runway

Whitney Port - TV personality, designer, entrepreneur and former cast member of 'The Hills' - has partnered with Rent the Runway for a summer capsule collection.

Available now and exclusively through Rent the Runway, the 'Love, Whit' collection consists of 19 pieces, including dresses, skirts, tops, jumpsuits, and pantsuits. The collection's color palette ranges from bold, bright red and acidic yellow to more muted tones of beige and ivory, alongside a smattering of floral prints. In an effort to promote sustainability, a third of the collection's styles are made from recycled fabrics and BCI cotton.

"I’ve always been a fan of Rent the Runway," Port said. "Their entire model of making fashion more sustainable is really important — it makes women feel good about what they’re putting on their body."

Giving the collection a further ethical boost, Port and Rent the Runway said they will donate $10 for every new customer who joins a RTR membership to Until We Do It, a non-profit organization currently working to distribute 50 million masks to vulnerable populations during Covid-19.

The collection marks Port's debut return to the design world since she designed for her own 'Whitney Eve' label, which ran from 2009 to 2014. 

Pieces from the Love, Whit collection retail from $156 to $276, and are available to rent through Rent the Runway with the option to purchase once rented.
