Very Group to add new webstore tech

Published
May 24, 2022

E-tailer The Very Group has long embraced technology in order to drive its business forward and now the owner of the Very and Littlewoods webstores has announced plans to transform its Very.co.uk content management system through a new partnership with Amplience.

The Very Group

It will use the latter’s Dynamic Content solution to “simplify and speed up the process of managing digital content across all of its brands and devices”. And it said this “will improve customer experience and boost SEO by allowing the retailer to create rich, engaging content — such as marketing content and editorial pages — across its brands and devices”.

It’s also expected to deliver business efficiencies by enabling the e-tailer’s technology specialists “to focus on more complex tasks, as the intuitive platform enables non-technical team members to easily create and deploy content without technical intervention”.

Very Group recently announced that it would transform its e-commerce platform through a new partnership with Commercetools and also improve customer experience as far as size and fit guidance are concerned by working with True Fit.

The company has clearly been investing heavily in technology recently and has experience of Amplience’s tech already. For several years it has been using its Dynamic Media solution. This “allows digital media like product images to be recreated in hundreds of forms across the retailer’s website and app”. It gives customers the “best visual experience of any product at any given stage of their digital journey”.
