Thom Browne unveils London flagship store

Published

American designer brand Thom Browne has recently opened its fourth worldwide flagship location in one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, Mayfair.

Designed by architect Flavio Albanese of ASA Studioalbanese, the newly launched boutique is a vision of polished black and white marble, mid-century office furniture and sleek styling.

The space is located at 3 Albemarle Street and spreads over 1,500 sq ft of space across two levels.  Men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections are displayed on the ground floor, while a floating spiral staircase leads down to the lower level’s fitting rooms and seating area.

The refined palette of grey, black and white translates the designer’s “austere American sensibility for the English city,” with fixtures such as metal slat blinds, rows of florescent tube lighting, and white Calacatta marble floors taking cues from office interiors.

The furniture on display was designed by American and French designers including Dunbar by Edward Wormley, Paul McCobb, Jacques Adnet, and Maison Jansen.

Other luxury retailers on Albemarle Street include Amanda Wakeley, Asprey and Paul Smith, as well as art galleries such as Connaught Brown and Marlborough Fine Art.
