Seasoned exec Coffey joins Silverburn owner Eurofund Group

Eurofund Group launched a UK arm last autumn and this week, the international real estate investment and development company has announced that Alex Coffey has joined its leadership team as the new Commercial Director.

His previous experience includes over 17 years of planning and leadership in project leasing strategy. He ran leasing management functions for Westfield, including tenant mix concept and strategy for the brand’s Stratford City mall after managing leasing teams to develop the setting and evaluations that helped Westfield Stratford become a key UK retail destination. 

He also worked in the UK at Cushman & Wakefield as Head of Leasing, helping to reposition pipeline projects including Basingstoke Festival Place phase 2 on behalf of Grosvenor and Canterbury Whitefriars on behalf of Landsec. 

His arrival comes at a decisive moment for Eurofund Group after it completed the acquisition of Glasgow’s top shopping destination Silverburn in March, “consolidating and expanding the group's presence in the United Kingdom”. 

Eurofund President Ian Sandford said: “Alex is a fantastic addition to our team and is as passionate about the future of retail as we are. We're delighted to have someone of his calibre join our senior and growing team.”
