Before joining Prana, Peters, who has 20 years of sales and leadership experience, was director of department store sales at Under Armour. Prior to that, she was president & general manager at Amoena and director of sales at Spanx.

“We are thrilled to welcome Marcie to the Prana family,” said Russ Hopcus, president of Prana. “Marcie has an impressive track record of building relationships, teams and businesses in the fashion, specialty and department store space. We are excited to leverage that experience across all current and future channels of distribution.”

“I’m really proud to be part of the prana family and such a top-notch organization,” added Peters. “Prana's efforts around sustainability are not only honorable but leading edge in how I believe the apparel industry will evolve. It will be an exciting journey building our brand as well as strengthening our alignment with the values of our core consumer and Prana’s commitment to positive change.”

For the first quarter of 2019, Prana brand net sales decreased 3 percent to $41.2 million

Still, its parent company, Columbia Sportswear, managed to start the year with a strong first quarter with net sales increasing 8 percent (10 percent at constant-currency) to $654.6 million.

In turn, Columbia Sportswear increased its full-year outlook with predicted net sales of $2.98 to $3.04 billion, representing a net sales growth of 6.5 to 8.5 percent.

The company is expected to release its second quarter 2019 financial results on Thursday, July 25, 2019.
