Phase Eight hires global retail director

British occasionwear brand Phase Eight has poached Gail Finnegan from Michael Kors to be its new global retail director.

She will be in charge of strengthening the Phase Eight brand globally as the company embarks on a transformation programme aimed at enhancing the store portfolio.

Finnegan was most recently retail director EMEA at Michael Kors and has also led the retail operations of international fashion brands including Superdry and Forever 21. Her CV also includes senior roles at Black Leisure Group and New Look.

Commenting on her appointment, Phase Eight managing director Simon Pickering said: “I am delighted Gail has joined us at this exciting time, just as we are starting to work on the transformation programme for our store portfolio.

“Gail has an outstanding reputation within the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge from international fashion brands. I look forward to working with Gail on creating an exceptional brand experience for our customers.”
