Olivia Palermo is putting her fashion expertise to use with the launch of a new e-commerce site.

The US fashion icon, designer and entrepreneur is preparing to relaunch OliviaPalermo.com, which will now sell a curated selection of the star's favorite fashion pieces from different brands, in addition to offering original editorial content, according to reports by WWD. The site is poised to go live on September 3.

Palermo has taken to Instagram to share the news of her latest venture with her 6.1 million followers, posting a video clip that offers a glimpse at some of its upcoming content.

A total of 183 fashion pieces will go on sale for the site's debut, including Palermo's recent capsule collection with the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, which spans tailored separates, activewear, dresses, sweaters, outerwear and bags. The main emphasis of the platform's fashion offerings will be on shoes and accessories, but the star is planning to expand into further categories in the future.

"For the last 10 years, I've been in a service-based business. Now I'm going to be a product-driven business," Palermo told WWD. "Accessories makes the most sense, as that's something that's always resonated with me. When I get dressed, I always start with an accessory."

Palermo has amassed a wealth of fashion design and curation experience over the course of her career in the industry, and has previously partnered with labels including Karl Lagerfeld, Stuart Wetzman, Nordstrom and Banana Republic on collaborative design projects.
