Notonthehighstreet appoints new CFO

Phil Branston has joined independent marketplace Notonthehighstreet as its new chief financial officer.

He will be in charge of leading and developing the e-tailer’s finance team with a focus on scaling operations, and provide support to the network of small businesses which have a presence on the platform.

With a mission to promote small creative businesses, Notonthehighstreet is a platform where creative entrepreneurs can sell everything from jewellery and fashion accessories to artisan chocolates and personalised gift ideas.

Branston joins Notonthehighstreet  from Just Eat, the online food ordering company, where he was commercial finance and strategy director for over two years. Before that, he held senior roles at companies including Wandisco, Misys and Bradgate.

His appointment follows that of Richard Zubrik to the post of chief technology officer earlier this year, reported Retail Gazette.

“Phil combines deep financial and operating expertise with a track record of developing technology and ecommerce businesses, most recently in a marketplace environment,” commented Notonthehighstreet chief executive Barrie Seidenberg.

Branston will report directly to Seidenberg and the board of investors.
