Louis Vuitton has revamped its SoHo store in New York City just in time for the start of the new year.

The fashion house tapped Peter Marino to design the store, which features a new art gallery concept that first unveiled at the Louis Vuitton St. Germain store in Paris. The new 10,000-square-foot store features carbon fiber shelving, oak floors, white columns with art painted by Japanese artist Shuji Mukai, and a leather and bronze art piece by Giuseppe Penone. The store took a year to complete.

Prior to the renovation, Louis Vuitton took over the neighboring Montblanc store, which was crucial for the expansion. The Louis Vuitton SoHo store first opened in 1998 and was designed by Peter Marino.

In addition to the new look, the SoHo store carries the fashion house’s full product assortment from ready-to-wear and shoes to watches, jewelry, leather goods and fragrances. The store also carries a selection of exclusive pieces.
