Louis Vuitton launches gift line with playful vibe

Louis Vuitton has added a new string to its bow, while remaining faithful to its identity and heritage. The Parisian luxury label has launched its very first gift article line, called 'The art of gifting', not without giving it a humorous twist.

The collection consists of some thirty objects and will be available in stores from early January. As the label has stated in a press release, the line features "a range of items at once irresistible and rare, playful and emotional," showcasing the expertise of the label's ateliers in three distinct areas.

First of all writing, with pen holders, graphite pencils, stylised page-markers, leather ink pads and notebooks. Then there is a section dedicated to home decoration and lifestyle, including inlaid leather nesting boxes, Plexiglas or leather picture frames, porcelain desk tidies and pocket mirrors.

The third section is that of games: dice and card decks in Vuitton's signature Monogram canvas holders, spinning tops, colourful leather disks, a yo-yo and even a leather patchwork teddy bear.

The items will be available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide, priced from €90 to nearly €900. The collection will grow over time, "following the label's events and celebrations."
