Liberty Fairs returns to Pier 94 for AW16 market

Jan 25, 2016

Liberty Fairs kicks off its tradeshow season on Tuesday, January 26. This season, the show boasts over 90 new brands for men’s market as well as its new UKTI, Living Room and 14+ Foundation features.

Liberty Fairs trade show

UKTI, which stands for UK Trade & Investment Partnership, have partnered with 8 up and coming British menswear brands to show at Liberty and are brand new to New York. The brands include Clara Martin, Eye Respect, Haeckels, La Menta, Marcus De, Sarah Hellen, Story MFG and Tom Smarte.

The Living Room expands Liberty’s offering to home goods, which is a first for the trade show. Curated by Andrew Livingston of Knickerbocker Mfg. Co., The Living Room will showcase a number of home wares and furniture brands including A-Lamp Design, Corbe Company, Douglas & Co. Detroit, Ethan Abramson, Great Bear Wax Co., Kidd Epps, Leadhead Glass, Luke Lamp Co., Misc. Goods Co., Mutual Adoration, Slightly Alabama, Smith Shop Detroit and Symbol Audio.

The last of the new features this season is 14+ Foundation, a New York City-based 501(c) (3) non-profit that develops, build and operate schools and orphanages in rural African communities. The Foundation created an installation that will be located on the show floor to educate and engage the industry on its mission.

In addition to the new features, Liberty brought back show staples New York Mens Day Preview, The Drugstore and Freedom Hall. The NYMD preview will show this season’s NYMD participants that will show on February 1 during NYFW: Men’s.

This week marks the first time Liberty and Capsule partnered for a dual show. The Capsule Show has moved from Basketball City to Pier 92 right next door to Liberty Fairs.

Liberty Fairs will run from Tuesday, January 26 through Thursday, January 28.
