Lancel has set up its new headquarters at 34, Rue Pasquier, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The building was built in 1929 by Pierre and Alex Fournier in order to house the “Société Financière Française et Coloniale” premises. The seven-story edifice of approximately 1,160 square meters is particularly known for its bas-relief animals, sculpted by Georges Saupique, that adorn its Art Deco façade.

The leather goods brand has chosen a more central address, after having been located in Paris’ 17th arrondissement on Rue Ampère for ten years. About a hundred people are already working in this new location (inaugurated on Jan. 3) which brings together all the company’s departments, from communications to retail management.

The new headquarters also houses the design studio along with its leather craftsmen and artisans who create all the prototypes for the Lancel collections.

The inauguration of the new headquarters is part of a positive dynamic for Lancel. The French leather goods label owned by the Italian Piquadro Group since 2018, recorded revenues of €21.4 million in the third quarter which ended on Dec. 31, 2021, a 28.8% increase over the same period last year.

The company has 85 stores worldwide, of which 65 are in France.
