L'Oréal Paris is looking for the most inspirational women of 2018

L'Oréal Paris is once again on the lookout for "Women of Worth."

The beauty giant is teaming up with the volunteer organization Points of Light, in honor of National Volunteer Month, to launch its annual search for exceptional women who are igniting social change on a local, national or global level.

Inspired by its own iconic tagline "Because You're Worth It," the cosmetics powerhouse's signature philanthropic program celebrates "women who find passion in giving back, and in fostering and inspiring self-worth in others."

L'Oréal is encouraging the public to nominate eligible women online from April 4 through May 1, with candidates then narrowed down to 10 "Honorees," recognized in December at an awards ceremony hosted by L'Oréal Paris in New York. Each Honoree will receive a $10,000 grant for her particular cause, and one, chosen by popular vote to be the "National Honoree," will be awarded an additional $25,000 to support her organization. Honorees are also offered marketing support, tools and training and networking opportunities with leaders and influencers to help increase their impact.

The program, which has been running for 13 years, shines a spotlight on local heroes fighting for a diverse range of causes that runs the gamut from human trafficking and domestic violence to anti-bullying and food donation projects.

"It is a privilege to once again partner with L'Oréal Paris to recognize this year's Women of Worth, highlighting the work of women who generously spend their time and energy making life better for all of us," said Natalye Paquin, CEO of Points of Light, in a statement. "The Honorees represent the best of humanity and teach us the power and impact of leading and lending support to causes you care about."
