Kanye West shows up uninvited to Skechers headquarters

Skechers said on Wednesday that Kanye West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, arrived unannounced and without invitation at one of its corporate offices in Los Angeles.

The move comes just one day after Adidas ended its partnership with the American rapper and designer, following antisemitic and offensive behaviour exhibited by Kanye. 

At the Skechers headquarters, Ye engaged in unauthorized filming, resulting in two Skechers executives escorting him and his party from the building after a brief conversation.

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” Skechers said in the statement. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate anti-semitism or any other form of hate speech. The company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.” 

On top of Adidas, fashion house Balenciaga also said that it has severed ties with the music artist-turned-designer. Likewise, Foot Locker and Gap said they would immediately remove products from Ye’s Yeezy line from their stores. 

According to Forbes, the lost partnerships has forced Ye to loose his billionaire status, and now calculates his net worth to be $400 million.
