Julianne Moore and Adwoa Aboah star in the jewelry brand’s new 'Made for Legends' campaign. The campaign celebrates the work of strong women as exemplified by Moore and Aboah.

Bali / NYC-based jeweler John Hardy’s newest campaign puts the focus on inspiring women. Starring Julianne Moore and Adwoa Aboah, the 'Made for Legends' campaign aims to show how strong women can use jewelry for self-expression.

The campaign was specifically inspired by Moore’s long career as an actress and role as a mother, and Aboah’s activism through her organization Gurls Talk, which shares the stories and artwork of young women.

“We wear jewelry as talismans of the people and moments that we love,” Moore said, when talking about the role of jewelry in her life.

“Vulnerability to me is pure strength. Self-love, that’s really powerful – I love the idea of gifting yourself. I cover myself in jewelry, I’m obsessed. Jewelry feels like it has got some soul, it’s not afraid to be different. It’s legendary,” Aboah stated, while on set shooting the campaign.

Canadian designer John Hardy founded his namesake brand in 1975. Currently headquartered in Bali, the company opened its first US flagship in 2016 in New York City.
