Jacopo Venturini leaves Gucci

Published
Oct 25, 2019

Gucci is saying goodbye to Jacopo Venturini, one of the four top executives working directly under the brand's CEO Marco Bizzarri. As confirmed for FashionNetwork.com by a spokesperson from the company, as of Thursday, he will no longer be working at the brand. Venturini first took over the Kering-owned luxury house's merchandising in 2015, before being promoted to the role of executive vice president for merchandising and global markets in 2018.

Last year's promotion was part of a wider reorganization of the company's management, which was restructured around four executive pillars: the operations overseen by Venturini; the indirect channels, outlet and travel retail department led by Piero Braga; the brand and customer engagement division managed by Robert Triefus; and the digital business and innovation hub piloted by Nicolas Oudinot.

Suffice to say, Venturini has played a key role at the brand, working alongside Alessandro Michele to communicate the house's new aesthetic vision, while also serving as an intermediary between the market's demands, the company's requirements and the work of the creative director.

Before joining Gucci, the Italian executive, who boasts wide-ranging experience in the luxury industry, served as worldwide ready-to-wear director at Valentino for seven years. Prior to this, he was in charge of merchandising at Prada
