JOOR launches second Showcase Japan after international success

Published
Sep 2, 2021

Digital wholesale platform JOOR has launched the second edition of its Showcase Japan virtual fashion event created in partnership with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).

JOOR

It’s being hosted now on JOOR Passport and runs until October 22, providing a platform “to raise global visibility of 30 of the most directional and contemporary Japanese fashion brands for the SS22 selling season”.

The company said its original showcase last season drew 10,300 retailers from almost 60 countries and this led it to schedule two more editions.

This time, it’s offering a broad range of categories including sustainability, diversity, Japanese craftsmanship, and more and includes womenswear, menswear, and accessories. However, the biggest focus is on womenswear brands with the next edition in January to centre more heavily on men’s fashion.

JOOR CEO Kristin Savilia said: “Significantly, all orders from the first event came from outside of Japan, achieving our mutual goal of broadening global reach and distribution for this outstanding group of Japanese brands.”
