In comeback year, Pure London names leader for Pure Jewel team

Published
Mar 21, 2022

With jewellery retail having been a major post-pandemic success story, trade show Pure London is giving the sector a key platform this summer.

Andrew Martyniuk, Head of Jewellery–Fashion for Pure Jewel

The Hyve Group-operated show, which returns to Olympia London in July, will include the newly-created ‘Pure Jewel’ space and Pure London has appointed Andrew Martyniuk as Head of Jewellery–Fashion, “to support the event’s growth”.

As previously announced, taking place on the 17-19 July, Pure Jewel will showcase fine and precious jewellery, silver jewellery, and branded jewellery from across the world. The focus will be “contemporary, ethical, and sustainable designers, such as Cartergore and Georgia Wang”.

That means Martyniuk “will be a key driver in developing the jewellery sector of the show and will focus on attracting new and inspiring brands to Pure London”.

He will also work alongside key partners including the National Association of Jewellers “to ensure the show delivers what the industry needs”.

Described as a “skilled communicator”, Martyniuk joins “with years of experience in the industry and an enviable black book of key contacts in the UK jewellery, watch, lingerie and fashion industries”.

He’s co-founder of The Jewellery Cut, a platform to elevate and support contemporary jewellery in the UK. He also spent six years as commercial director at ITP Promedia, the publisher of business-to-business magazines including Professional Jeweller, WatchPro and Lingerie Insight.

Martyniuk said of his new job: “Pure Jewel is a very exciting opportunity for jewellers as the show offers so much more than just jewellery. Its long-standing heritage and focus on fashion can really help open these jewellers up to a wider audience of retailers, influencers and press that they might not usually get to meet. Olympia is also a prime location and it will be exciting to see jewellery on show again at this famous location.”
