Hilary Duff launches eyewear collection

Published
Jan 23, 2018

Hilary Duff is launching a women's sunglasses and prescription eyewear collection in partnership with online eyewear retailer GlassesUSA. Customers can try on frames prior to purchasing using Virtual Mirror AR tech.

Muse x Hilary Duff will center around 23 styles of different frame shapes and colors that are available as both prescription glasses and sunglasses. Frame materials include acetate, gold and silver printing, and fine wires.

Duff's inspiration for the collection was to help women feel confident with the frames so they can focus on "family, friends, career, [and] health."

She explained that all aspects of the collection, "from the packaging, small personal message to my fans, the co-designed frames, and the names that were inspired by strong influential women" are designed to connect with and inspire women. Her goal is to make women feel "special, unique and accepted."

Each pair of glasses from the collection comes with a branded case, collectable sticker page, and an inspirational message from Hilary. As part of the launch, the first 500 purchases will come with a special hand-signed note to the customer from Duff.

Daniel Rothman, CEO of GlassesUSA.com, said "Through this partnership we are not only hoping to impact the way consumers purchase eyewear, but also change their perception of glasses from a necessity to an accessory."

The glasses hover around the $100 price point, which is lower than competitor models. Lower price points are possible thanks to GlassesUSA's direct-to-consumer model which eliminates an additional markup.

The collection is available online now.
