Harvey Nichols relaunches rewards programme

Published

Luxury department store retailer Harvey Nichols has relaunched its Rewards loyalty programme.

The updated programme has been reimagined to “instantly” reward customers with a range of personalised benefits and an elevated cash-back offer that can be spent both in-store and online, “confirming we reward our friends with benefits”.

Points, earned across shopping, dining and by downloading the Harvey Nichols app, are then converted into cash rewards that can be spent in various ways. As members spend more, their points level increases and benefits build, offering up to 5% cash-back. Unlike many programmes, this is redeemable at any time, notes the retailer.

As part of the Rewards programme, members are also able to choose from up to 14 personalised benefits and select “those that matter to them most”.  The higher their membership level, the more to choose from.

A host of benefits and curated gifts refreshed annually includes 15% off fashion vouchers, pamper hampers, OXO dining experiences or free delivery.

Sign-up is via the Harvey Nichols app, online at harveynichols.com/rewards, or by scanning an in-store QR code.  After sign-up, customers automatically receive Birthday Gift and Early Access Pass benefits.

Customer incentives will probably be key this year even for higher-end retailers as the cost of living rises alongside inflation. That extends to loyalty schemes and easier payment options.

For instance, payments giant Klarna has partnered with Harrods, initially offering its London flagship Knightsbridge Beauty and stores in Essex and Milton Keynes customers buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) options with the scheme expected to be rolled out to other departments.
