Micro Fashion, the parent company of Dutch menswear labels Profuomo and Michaelis, has re-appointed Harry van der Zee. Affective 1 January 2018, Van der Zee will serve as the company’s CEO.

Harry van der Zee

Van der Zee joins Micro Fashion from Van Gils Mode, another Dutch menswear brand. Van der Zee worked at Van Gils from 2015, where he was the brand’s CEO. Prior to Van Gils Mode, Van der Zee served as CEO at Micro Fashion, where he worked for nearly ten years, first joining the company in 2006.

In his new role, Harry van der Zee will succeed Sarah Brandsma, who, as co-owner of Micro Fashion, will focus on product and marketing development of the brands Profuomo and Michaelis.

Sarah Brandsma, co-owner Micro Fashion said: “We are very pleased with our trusted CEO Harry van der Zee. A CEO from outside of the family is an intentional choice and with his extensive knowledge we have found in Harry the ideal team player to lead the growth of our brands.”

Heinz Michaelis founded Micro Fashion in 1934. Profuomo operates three brand stores in the Netherlands. In addition the label is available via more than 300 points of sale in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Morocco and Ukraine, to name a few. Michaelis recently opened its first brand store in Rotterdam. The brand is also available via 292 selling points in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain.
