Preparations are underway for the 29th edition of Graduate Fashion Show, which is meant to be taking place from 31 May to 3 June at the Old Truman Brewery in East London.

Organisers announced on Thursday that tickets for the general public are now on sale on its website, sending a message of confidence amid the coronavirus pandemic and broader financial turmoil.

The upcoming Graduate Fashion Week is expected to welcome over 3,600 BA fashion students from a network of over 60 fashion universities and design colleges, plus more than 30,000 guests.

This year will see 22 catwalk shows and presentations alongside a merchandise shop, exhibition stands, and a packed schedule of talks, masterclasses and workshops from leading names in the fashion and retail industry.

The event aims to bring together students from around the world and fashion educators to bridge the gap between graduation and employment, giving students the opportunity to score work experiences with some of the world’s most sought-after brands.

Now in its 29th year, Graduate Fashion Week helped launch the careers of some of the most successful designers on the UK fashion scene, including Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald.

The charitable organisation is supported by a group of patrons and ambassadors including Victoria Beckham, Christopher Bailey, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Dame Zandra Rhodes and Nick Knight.
