Florence Welch designs PJs for Liberty London

Florence Welch is turning her hand to sleepwear design, with the help of Liberty London.

The "Florence + the Machine" frontliner has teamed up with the prestigious UK department store on a limited-edition capsule collection set to launch on June 20. The nine-piece collection, which spans pajamas, kimono robes, separates and accessories, will feature six botanical paisley prints from the Liberty archives, dating from the 1820s to 1991.

"I do a lot of writing in the morning, still in my pyjamas with lots of very strong coffee," Welch said in a statement. "And as a Liberty print obsessive, I was honoured that Liberty allowed me to trawl though their archives to create this collection."

"Florence embodies the Liberty London woman," added Amelia Hornblow, director of product at Liberty. "She has an eclectic style, mixing colors and prints. We also love her sense of travel and adventure, which mirrors that of Arthur Liberty, the original founder."

The launch comes at a busy time for Welch, whose band Florence + the Machine is set to drop its latest album, "High As Hope," on June 29. She is also releasing a book of sketches, lyrics and poetry, dubbed "Useless Magic," on July 5.

Welch is the latest big name singer to turn her hand to fashion design recently, following in the footsteps of artists such as Miley Cyrus, who debuted a Converse sneaker collection earlier this month, and Cardi B, who hinted at an upcoming partnership with online retailer Fashion Nova back in March.
