FatFace opens pop-up at Liverpool One, first UK store with full range

FatFace has opened a 1,300 sq ft pop-up store at Liverpool One, and it may only be a pop-up but it’s the first to stock the fast-expanding brand’s full range of men’s, women’s and children’s products in the UK, including its gifting and accessories range.

Located in a strong position on upper South John Street opposite John Lewis, the FatFace pop-up has been designed by an in-house team and carries the brand’s new signage and branding. 

It’s not just a Christmas season store either as it will stay open until summer 2019.

The large number of store vacancies in UK malls generally is adding to the opportunity for brands to open pop-ups, but it’s undeniable that the group of supermalls that Liverpool One belongs to have a huge advantage in attracting major brands trying out new concepts.
 
Commenting on the opening, Alison Clegg, Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor Europe, said: “Liverpool One’s popularity and sustained high footfall makes it one of the leading retail locations in the UK and an ideal space to test new retail concepts.”
 
Daren Humphrey, Head of Acquisitions & Estates at FatFace added that “Liverpool is such a vibrant city benefiting from thousands of visitors a month,” which is clearly a major attraction for the label.

Other recent openings at the 10-year-old mall include Arket on Paradise Street and COS on Peter’s Lane.
