Delvaux opens Harrods pop-up

Published
Sep 15, 2021

Pop-up stores are increasingly becoming an integral part the retail landscape as starting points for brands testing the physical market while helping landlords fill those empty voids.

Delvaux

Not that Delvaux or Harrods particularly fall into either of those categories. But pop-ups are popular options for luxury department stores with both Knightsbridge-based Harrods and its rival in the West End, Selfridges, having pursued this strategy via some interesting and appealing brands.

Which brings us to Delvaux. The Belgian luxury heritage accessories brand has taken a pop-up unit within the luxury London department store for six months, until next February.

The “sophisticated” first floor boutique celebrates the “rich history of la Maison Delvaux, by presenting its heritage and artisanal know-how inspired by elements of its Museum located in its headquarters in Brussels”.

Maker of leather luxury bags since 1829 and purveyor to the Royal Court of Belgium since 1883, “Delvaux is synonymous with iconic designs, innovative creativity and unparalleled craftsmanship”.

The temporary space will features its “feminine and timeless designs” alongside its latest arrivals.
