Cartier reopens refurbished Chicago boutique

Parisian jeweler Cartier has reopened its boutique in Chicago after a six-month renovation, the latest in a string of refurbishments undertaken by the brand as it updates its physical retail strategy.

 
According to Chicago Magazine, the new design for Cartier’s store in the Windy City was conceived by French interior designer Bruno Moinard
 
Spread over 3,071 square feet and channeling a cream color palette, the refurbished space features a two-tone limestone floor, neutral-colored carpet, fabric walls and wooden accents.

Visitors to the boutique will find dedicated salons for both men’s and women’s jewelry and watches, as well as diamond and VIP salons.
 
The store also features a bas-relief depicting the Cartier panther and the Chicago skyline, a nod to the brand’s aim to give its stores a more local touch with its latest renovation efforts.
 
Indeed, the label has been busy rehauling its brick-and-mortar retail spaces around the world over the last few months. Having already revealed refurbished spaces in Zurich, Stockholm and Paris, the brand’s latest big reopening unveiled its revamped London flagship on Bond Street.
 
The Richemont-owned jewelry label operates over 270 stores worldwide, including 26 in the U.S., two of which are in NYC.
 
Cartier’s Chicago boutique is now open at 630 North Michigan Avenue.
