Armani planning another co-ed signature show in Milan

Giorgio Armani  is changing show format again.
 
Following on from his co-ed Emporio Armani show of September staged inside Milan airport, Linate, the Italian designer will stage a joint menswear and womenswear catwalk event for his signature line Giorgio Armani during the official Milan fall/winter 2019-20 women’s season in February.

 
“Ever sensitive to his era and its changes, Giorgio Armani announces several new initiatives… for the beginning of 2019 in Milan,” the house said in a statement.
 
However, Emporio Armani will keep its two shows separate. Emporio womenswear will be unveiled in February; while the next Emporio menswear collection, fall/winter 2019-20, will be shown in January during Milan Moda Uomo. It will be timed to coincide with the opening of the latest exhibition inside the current center of Armani’s attention, his much-admired Armani Silos. Widely seen as the most intelligent and elegant museum and exhibition space of a living fashion designer.

Provisionally, the Emporio men’s show is due to he held on Monday morning, Jan. 14, while the Silos opening – no name of the actual exhibition - is expected to be on Friday, Jan. 11, the five-day season’s opening evening. Silos is currently housing a much-acclaimed retrospective of French photographer Sarah Moon.
