UBM Fashion’s NY Women’s and Children’s draws to a close on January 9, after three days previewing apparel, accessories and footwear across six shows.

The event, hosted at the Jacob Javits Center, NYC, is an umbrella show for MODA, Accessories The Show, Intermezzo Collections, Accessorie Circuit, FAME and Children's Club.

Highlights of the multi-tradeshow gathering include VINTAGE@Intermezzo, which offers, in its second edition, vintage apparel from luxury brands including Givenchy, Moschino and Bob Mackie, via a curated selection of 21 vendors.

As part of this vintage-focused event, Katharine Zarrella, founder of Fashion Unfiltered, moderated a panel discussion entitled "Modern Vintage Lovers and Extraordinary Wardrobes" with stylist David Casavant and founder of Morphew Bridgette Morphew on January 8. Natalie Joos, author of Tales of Endearment: Modern Vintage Lovers and Their Extraordinary Wardrobes, also participated in the panel, having already held a book signing the day before.

Elsewhere, UBM Fashion’s young women’s and juniors' show, FAME, showcased a number of new brands, such as Vigoss, C'est Toi, Wild Honey, Vintage Havana, Chinese Laundry, and Blu Pepper, and featured musical acts such as Bravo TV’s Brandi Cyrus and American Idol alum Casey Abrams.

At Children’s Club, petitePARADE returned to hold the first ever petiteTALKS on January 7, an event which included a live presentation and a panel discussion addressing the transformations taking place in the childrenswear market.

UBM Fashion brings together a wide range of fashion brands and retailers through its shows in New York (NY Men’s and Women’s) and Las Vegas (MAGIC). The American tradeshow organizer is currently undergoing considerable restructuring as it works towards better serving a rapidly evolving fashion industry.  Results of the shake-up to date have included the appointment of Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel as VP in charge of strategy and development, and the expansion of the responsibilities of Tom Nastos at the end of last year.

The company also announced in October 2017 that it would be organizing its first coed fashion tradeshow in July of this year.

UBM Fashion’s NY Women’s and Children’s opened on January 7 and closes this Tuesday, January 9.
