The Kering group and Californian technology accelerator and investment fund Plug and Play have revealed the name of the ten start-ups selected to join the 'Fashion for Good' programme starting in September.

Plug and Play is ready for the second edition of 'Fashion for Good'

The joint initiative premièred last March, promoting twelve emerging companies which were mentored for three months - among them Agraloop, Drago, Dropel My Source and Pili-bio. The mentorship was designed to encourage the start-ups to work on transforming the fashion industry into a sustainable business by using state-of-the-art technology.

The programme was set up with the help of the C&A Foundation, and its second edition will start in September. Two hundred applications were received by the organisers, then a short-list of 19 start-ups was drawn up, from which only ten were selected, all of them from different sectors and from different countries.

The chosen ten are Carcel, a Danish label whose apparel is produced by female convicts using natural materials, Circular Systems, specialised in information technology and services, Colorifix, which works on a sustainable dying process, Ecofoot, Eon ID, LiteHide by Leatherteg, Nature Coatings, Norman Hangers, Spindye and A Transparent Company.
