Playtime welcomes a majority of international visitors

Published
Feb 1, 2016

The 19th edition of the Playtime trade show was held from 24th to 26th January at the Parc Floral, Paris, and welcomed 7,457 visitors, a stable number compared to a year earlier. Despite last November's terrorist attacks in Paris, which caused several professionals, notably from Asia and the US, to cancel their journeys to France, the share of foreign visitors to Playtime gained seven percentage points, reaching 57%, and outnumbering French buyers for the first time.

Specifically, 45% of visitors came from European countries (excluding France), led by Belgium, the UK, Spain and Italy. From outside of Europe, the most numerous delegations came from South Korea and the USA.

In total, visitors from 62 countries came to meet with 500 exhibitors, 71% of which represented childrenswear brands. The next edition of Playtime Paris will be held at the Parc Floral, Paris, celebrating its 10th anniversary there, from 2nd to 4th July 2016.
