New concept store launched in Paris by ex-Colette managers

Parisian fashionistas need mourn no longer: fewer than three weeks after Colette closed its doors for the last time, former managers from the hip Parisian boutique are launching a new concept store spotlighting streetwear and high-tech goods.

Named "nous", the new boutique will open next Monday, January 8, at 48 rue Cambon. This strategic location is not far from the Chanel store but is also close to Colette, which closed its doors definitively on December 20, after twenty years in operation.

The new concept store is the fruit of the collaboration of several Colette alumni, notably Sébastien Chapelle, director of the boutique's high-tech and watch division, and Marvin Dein, head of the sneakers department.

The new 150-square-meter boutique will offer watches, hi-tech goods, glasses, accessories, sneakers and streetwear, as well as books. In contrast to Colette, however, it will not stock womenswear or cosmetics.

According to a spokesperson for nous, the duo at the helm of Colette, Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman, the boutique's creative director, are not involved in the new project. Roussaux has retired and Andelman has previously spoken of her desire to work as a consultant for other brands and designers.

Colette, the famous concept store located at 213 rue Saint-Honoré became an unmissable destination for fashionistas over the twenty years it was in business, and built its reputation around the sale of limited-edition products, a cutting-edge offering and creative collaborations with big brands. Its former location will be occupied by a Saint Laurent boutique in 2018.
