Marie-Amélie Sauvé launches Mastermind issue 02 at Bookmarc

Mastermind, the bi-annual magazine by Brune Buonomano and Marie-Amélie Sauvé, launched its second issue this year at Marc Jacobs’ bookstore Bookmarc on Sunday.

The Bleecker Street store was bustling with locals and NYFW show goers looking to get their hands on the new issue and meet Sauvé herself. The stylist and T Magazine fashion director chatted up the customers and signed a few copies of the magazine for fans and friends alike, including Grace Coddington who was in attendance.

Sauvé launched in February the first issue of Mastermind, which featured Bruce Weber, Nicolas Ghesquière, Steven Meisel, and Freja Beha Erichsen among others. The hardcover magazine is meant to be timeless, with stories that won’t become old overnight or by the time the issue launches. Mastermind also does not have a set theme for every issue.

“There is not one particular theme. Instead, each chapter has a different subject and those differ each issue,” said Sauvé. And when asked if not having a theme is more freeing, she said, “It's more freeing because we can focus on what we see as being most interesting rather than finding topics to fit a specific mold.”

Mastermind issue 02 is available in now in the US, UK, France, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium and Korea.
