The London Textile Fair is gearing up for a new show at the Business Design Centre in London in July with around 500 exhibitors and a new section dedicated to sustainable fabrics.

The textile fair has partnered with Sustainable Angle to bring the Future Fabrics Expo to its next edition, in an effort to help guide designers and brands in their journey towards more sustainable fabric sourcing and practices.

The showcase and innovation platform will guide visitors through a diverse range of sustainable textiles and material innovations, and provide information about the latest research and initiatives of global textile organisations. The aim is to help designers adopt textiles that have a lower environmental impact.

There will be also ten educational seminars running alongside the Future Fabrics Expo over two days, available to all visitors. Buyers from UK brands including Coast, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, Primark and Burberry are expected to visit the show, whose fashion textile area has been fully booked since March.

The section will occupy the whole venue ground floor, while the accessories area will be held in the Gallery Hall of the Business Design Centre. Around 60 exhibitors are expected for this July edition from countries like Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Turkey. The Atrium Hall will feature print design and vintage garments.

The next edition of the London Textile Fair will take place on 18-19 July at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
