The 2017 edition of sports and outdoor brands tradeshow ISPO will showcase a selection of eight sport start-ups in the Brand New section in Hall B5, giving them a great visibility opportunity.

The NoMoreBlack start-up will present its colourful wetsuits - Nomoreblack

The eight companies have been selected out of nearly 400 entrants, and have emerged as winners out of a final pool of 42 new names. For the Athleisure category, Austrian label Breddy's, founded in 2014, will introduce its multifunctional sport trousers manufactured in Europe.

In the Style category, the winner was Russian label NoMoreBlack by Kos, founded in 2014 and distinctive for its colourful, artistic neoprene wetsuits.

German company InteractiveSquash, created in 2016, has been selected in the Fitness category for its innovative digital approach to squash. In the Accessories category, US firm Yo Yo Mats was recognised for its self-rolling yoga mats.

For summer equipment, the winner was Austrian company Flying Tent, which devised a tent/hammock combination with a self-erecting mechanism. And for winter equipment, the jury has selected Swiss brand Anticonf, creator of an eco-friendly snowboard made with bamboo fibre.

The last two categories focus on the digital domain. Football For Life, from the Philippines, was recognised in the Social Awareness category for the Toward a Brighter Future project, designed to impart new skills and know-how to underprivileged youngsters through sport.

In the Wearables category, the spotlight will shine on French start-up PIQ and its robot capable of recording and analysing sport performance data.
