Fashion for Good has added three new partners to its Scaling Program -- Ambercycle, BEXT360 and Tyton Biosciences --which are all companies focusing on chemical recycling and traceability solutions.

The Amsterdam-based Fashion for Good is a global operating platform for sustainable innovation in the fashion industry. The platform collaborates with brands, suppliers and retailers on a number of programmes, one of which is the ‘Scaling Program,’ which provides support to circular apparel and footwear innovations. As a participant in the Scaling Program, the new partners will be given the opportunity to connect with manufacturers, brands and investors. Fashion for Good will support the companies for a period of 18 months.

With the addition of the three partners, the Scaling Program now consists of eight participants: ColorZen, The Infinited Fiber Company, Softwear Automation Inc, Tamicare, Worn Again, and the latest additions Ambercycle, BEXT360 and Tyton Biosciences.

Ambercycle focuses on turning post-consumer textile waste into new fibres. Its fibres are used as a direct replacement for traditional polyester. BEXT360 provides a solution that enables companies to trace assets across the entire value chain, using a combination of blockchain, IoT, machine vision and artificial intelligence. And Tyton BioSciences recycles discarded clothing to produce the basis of petroleum- and plant-based fabrics.

Peter Majeranowski, CEO at Tyton, said: “Fashion for Good’s ability to stimulate collaboration between like-minded fashion brands and cutting-edge tech companies will change the future of fashion sustainability.”

Fashion for Good was founded in 2017 by founding partner, fashion retailer C&A. The platform’s programs are also supported by corporate partners Galeries Lafayette Group, Kering and Zalando, as well as organisations including the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

Earlier this year, Fashion for Good launched partnerships with retailer Zalando and sportswear brand Adidas.
