The gods are smiling on Brunello Cucinelli: the brand ended 2015 even better than 2014, and is betting that 2016 will be 'highly positive, with double-digit growth.'

The Italian luxury label, specialised in cashmere and listed on the Stock Exchange since 2012, published its preliminary results and stated that last year it managed to keep a sustained pace, with a 16.3% growth (+9.5% at constant exchange rates) compared to the same period a year earlier, and reaching a revenue of €414 million.

Brunello Cucinelli's strategy of relying on exclusive luxury, with a very high-quality range wholly manufactured in Italy, continued to prove successful, as the company stated in its press release, underlining how 'there is still strong demand for high-end clothing,' an expression of true Italian style.

The group's sales have notably increased outside Italy (+19.4%), a segment that accounts for 82.9% of total revenue. The USA are Cucinelli's most important market, representing 37.8% of its total sales and generating a revenue of €156.6 million, with a 27.5% rise compared to the same period a year earlier.

Sales in Europe have grown 10.4% to €128.8 million, while in Greater China they shot up 23.4%, compared to a 32.7% rise in 2014, though they still only represent 5.9% of total revenue, being worth €25.7 million.

Sales on the Italian market, which accounts for only 17.1% of the total, recorded 'very interesting and positive results' worth €71 million, even though the level of growth is still a modest 3.7%.
